In the Internet age, time moves faster than in real life. What is a trend today may be obsolete in six months. The software that still exists today is the software that is able to continually renew itself.

In this story, I’m going to present you 3 software that I personally used in the past, but which have been shut down and forgotten since.

Let’s go 🚀!

1 — Windows Live Messenger

This software is number 1 because it made my teenage years. Every night after school, I would go live on Messenger. No, not Facebook Messenger! I’m talking about MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger.

With this software, for those very very young (more than I am) who didn’t know this one, is a spontaneous messaging tool where you could send emoticons, “nudges”, and various other things through plugins that you set up. An ancestor for software like Skype, Discord, Slack, and Teams.

Microsoft discontinued MSN Messenger in 2013.

2 — Windows Movie Maker
