The complex world of machine learning can sometimes seem like a maze. But think about it, every moment of our lives is actually a data collection and decision-making process. Do you brush your teeth before drinking your morning coffee, or vice versa? Or do you have an inner voice to remind you to take your umbrella with you on a rainy day? These small decisions are a simple but powerful probability calculation based on the fundamental principles of machine learning.

As Albert Einstein said, “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.”

Machine learning is not only a science of mathematical models and complex algorithms, but also a fun journey that makes our daily lives easier. Working in this field means taking what our brains do every day even further.

Before we watch a movie, we watch the trailer and decide whether or not to watch the movie based on how similar it is to other movies we’ve seen. This is basically a classification problem. Now, imagine saying to a machine, “Suggest me my favorite genre of movies.” By the same logic, the machine, like you, will recommend the most suitable movie for you based on the data it receives from the movies you watch.
