About Me: The Journey Behind My Words
Embracing Diversity, Overcoming Challenges, and Celebrating Life
Yes, this moment has come — I feel like sharing with you a bit about me and my background. Who I am defines what I am writing about. If you scroll through my articles, you will see my high interest in (fat) activism, social justice, which have been part of my professional life for over 20 years, and mental health and cancer, something I have been struggling with for the last 5 years. But hey, very soon, on the 26th of June, I will celebrate my 5-year cancer-free anniversary, or as it is said in Spain — cumplevida.
I am a 40-year-old child :) Yes, I went to Disneyland on my birthday to celebrate big after over a decade of resisting celebrating my birthday. I am based in a small city in the Region of Murcia, Spain (south), where I moved from Poland in 2010. Before that, I lived on four different continents, gaining a lot of life experience.
I have been an activist for as long as I can remember, even as a small child. At the end of high school, I started collaborating and then working with a local NGO, where I learned about European Programmes for Youth, volunteering activities, non-formal education, and so much more. I…
